Rain Barrel Fundraiser!
Order by: August 15, 2010 – order early – supplies are limited!
Cost: Suggested donation of $100 per rain barrel
Harvesting rain from rooftops is an easy way to water flower beds and to do something positive for water quality and quantity! By catching rain that falls off of your roof and watering a garden, you are harvesting water that would have become runoff, and helping it to infiltrate into the soil where it recharges ground water supplies. You can do your part for clean water and support the Agroforestry Resource Center by purchasing a rain barrel from us. Our rain barrels are constructed from recycled, 55-gallon, food-grade plastic barrels, with brass spigots for attaching a hose, overflow tubing and screened top for mosquito control. Similar barrels are sold by New England Rain Barrel Company for $119.95 plus shipping and handling, and at Tractor Supply Company at $109.99. We would like to recognize Barrelhead Sales & Service for their generous donation of barrels. Supplies are limited, so order early!
